The Mexico Border Investigative Reporting Hub was a project of the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) in partnership with the Border Center for Journalists and Bloggers (BCJB) and supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The aim was to promote investigative journalism and data analysis to improve transparency and accountability on the Mexico-United States border.

In its six years of existence (July 2018 – June 2024), the project succeeded in creating a new generation of Mexican journalists focused on investigating cases of corruption in the northern border states: Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas.

These journalists published over 200 investigative reports which, collectively, revealed schemes of corruption and mismanagement of public funds totaling 3.8 million dollars.
